Sweet darlings, please tell me why it seems only fools fall in love? I, of course, am no fool and I have not been in love for years, if ever. I would love to have the stars in my eyes and the butterflies in my stomach but right now I am simply too busy for such things. But even if I were to fall in love I am quite sure that I would not fall for the egotistical nonsense that I see around me.
As I look around at all these new fangled things on the Internet it occurs to me that there are fools all over the place. Back in the golden days when in love one would say that they wanted to shout it from the mountain tops. That would be quite acceptable as one would climb to the top of a mountain and once there shout, "I am in love with...." well whom ever it was. They would then descend the mountain and go about their lives. Only those within shouting distance of the mountain would hear this proclamation of love or perhaps an echo would repeat the phrase. But that would be that. Lives would go on. The loved ones would go about their business and no one would have to suffer.
Now we have Facebook. Fools go here and publish post after post of lovey-dovey nausea. We are not only subjected to the fact that people are in "relationships" but we are forced to read over and over again the comments that can only be cute to the involved couple or to grade school children.
I do not care that you are watching movies with your cuddle bunny. I do not need to know that you and your sweetheart think each other are adorable. Please spare the world your cutesy poo names for each other. Please stop the posts!! No one cares!! I get so tired of people posting on line every single little thing they do. It is not a diary! If you want to post everything you think get a BLOG. That is what they are for.
People in the SAME HOUSE post that their hubby is wonderful or that the wife is making dinner. Do we really need to know this mundane information? If your partner is wonderful wouldn't it be nice if you walked up to them and told them? If you are not feeling well shouldn't your loved one walk into your room and tell you that they hoped you feel better, not post this wish on line? At the very least they can call you on the phone if they are not at home. Besides if you live with someone shouldn't you know how they feel without having to get updates on the Internet?
Please forgive me for ranting but I cannot take it any longer. I just want to shake these people or force them to sit and read every minute of my glorious day. Maybe then they would understand how completely boring and annoying they are.
If you are in love please go to your loved one and tell them in person. If you must type it out then send a private message to your love. Isn't that the point anyway? To be intimate? Isn't that what the wonder of being in love is all about?
I promise you my darlings that when I am in love I will not bore you with the details. I will simply climb a mountain and shout it.
